The Accounting Analyst is responsible for supporting and contributing to the daily operations of the Payables, Account Reconciliation, and Vendor Audit. Duties include ownership of account payable and activities in a high volume, goal-oriented team.

 

Job Duties

  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Charges expenses to GL accounts by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
  • Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Pays employees by receiving and verifying expense reports and requests for advances; preparing checks.
  • Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Initiate monthly bank reconciliations including matching vendor payments and reconciling variances/discrepancies.

 

Education and Experience

 

  • Must have High School Diploma/GED
  • Equivalent to specialized study or training in office techniques such as collections, customer service, and accounting.
  • 6+ months of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or equivalent
