Job Description:

At least two years of benefits experience.

Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.

A degree in Business, Accounting, or Mathematics preferred.

CEBS, CBP or other related certification highly desirable.

  • Experience conducting market research and benefit surveys.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with proven ability to data mine and summarize data from disparate information.
  • Strong business writing skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Advanced Excel skills - ability to write VBA a plus.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills, in particular Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • General understanding of key laws and processes related to the Human Resources function and willingness to jump in and help the team in all areas.
  • Maintain confidential information.
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
  • Provide support as point of contact for employee questions on health & welfare, and 401(k).
  • Support day to day benefit program administration, including partnering with internal/external business partners to resolve data processing errors.
  • Periodically audit benefits plans & deductions to ensure plans remain accurate and legally compliant.
  • Perform data and budget analyses as assigned.
  • Support annual open enrollment process including plan implementation/changes and communication materials for employees & their families; partner with benefits broker, carriers and internal business partners as needed.
  • Under guidance from Benefits Director, prepare benefit program communications and promotional materials, including content for educational sessions, and other communication vehicles.
  • Assist with annual 401(k) audit and mid-year testing
  • Maintains a current knowledge of state and federal laws regarding benefit activities and helps ensures Academy's compliance.
  • Prepares reports and presentations.
  • Participates in benefits surveys.
