Academy Sports + Outdoors' Marketing Team is looking for a manager to grow our Loyalty program. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to support the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our Loyalty Program, with a focus on the credit card segment. This role is pivotal in driving growth, customer engagement, and the overall health of the loyalty program. Job Description:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field

Work Experiences:

  • 7+ years of experience in Customer Loyalty or Marketing Strategy
  • Experience developing advanced customer acquisition and retention strategies
  • Experience managing complex projects from conceptualization to completion
  • Experience managing people and developing and leading a strong and effective team
  • Retail experience is a plus

Skills:

  • Strategic thinker, leader, and problem solver with a demonstrated ability to design, plan, execute, and deliver results for complex, cross-functional projects
  • Ability to get into the details while maintaining 30,000 foot view of the strategic goals of the organization
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience collaborating and communicating with senior leadership; executive presentation skills a must

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the strategic vision and evolution of the Loyalty program.  Identify and execute plans and tactics to drive member acquisition, customer engagement, and overall program growth.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Loyalty and Academy Credit Card strategies and plans, and that customers are delivered a clear understanding of the unified program value proposition.  Ensure activities and campaigns are aligned across the customer experience, including outbound paid media, owned channels, and point of sale.  
  • Manage unified loyalty calendar to drive program goals in alignment with broader marketing strategy.  Lead teams to facilitate seamless campaign planning and execution, including forecasting, project and creative briefing, stakeholder alignment, and execution across marketing and support functions.
  • Ownership of program tracking and reporting (i.e., forecasting, budgeting, promotional margin impacts, reporting, and overall program results)
  • Build and maintain the program roadmap of enhancements and capabilities, and work closely with Product and IT partners to implement.
  • Manage a small team to support the success of the program
  • Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures, and safety rules
  • Duties may change; team member may be required to perform other duties as assigned
