Accessible Space Inc. (ASI) is a national nonprofit organization providing housing and personal care services to individuals with physical disabilities, seniors and veterans.

We are seeking a Full-time Housing Compliance Coordinator to help oversee the occupancy and compliance functions of Accessible Space, Inc. (ASI) owned/managed properties. The role involves ensuring full compliance with funding regulations and regulatory agreements, including HUD, HOME, CDBG, AHP, and LIHTC funding programs for all ASI-owned/managed properties. The Coordinator will serve as a source of information, review, and assistance for ASI's Property Management staff in the area of low-income housing tax credit funding regulations.

 

Responsibilities include managing all housing regulation compliance activities per government rules and regulations, including HUD, LIHTC, HOME, AHP, and other affordable housing funding programs.

 

The Coordinator will also assist in preparations for all ASI-owned/managed property management; occupancy, compliance reviews, and audits (HUD, HOME, LIHTC, City, State, etc.). This involves ensuring the timely completion and submission of reports and correspondence between ASI and the funding program, including ensuring compliance with tenant and applicant files and assisting in preparations for inspections.

 

Additional responsibilities include reporting on and assisting in the timely completion of HUD rental assistance contracts (PRACs/HAPs, and PACs) renewals for all ASI-owned/managed properties. The Coordinator will work closely with Finance staff and Regional Housing Managers to ensure the timely completion/submission of affiliate budgets for all rental assistance contracts.

 

Here are the requirements for the position:

 

A Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred. However, equivalent experience will be considered in place of formal education.

 

COM42 (Certified Occupancy Manager for Tax Credits) certification or accreditation from a nationally recognized affordable housing compliance authority is mandatory 

 

A minimum of two years of successful experience in property management compliance, specifically in LIHTC and HOME Programs, is essential.

 

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the ability to engage positively and professionally with a diverse audience, are non-negotiable.

 

A demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, handle large volumes of paperwork with varying deadlines, and exceptional organizational skills are needed.
