About the Role:

  • Providing day-to-day technical advice, problem solving and support to operations and maintenance

by applying engineering principles and reliability tools to derive problems to root cause

  • Initiating and/or implementing improvement projects including engineering solutions to eliminate safety and quality concerns, repetitive equipment failures and other major and minor issues

  • Managing capital and expense project requests, schedules, costs, etc

  • Ensuring compliance of project work with appropriate engineering standards

  • Identifying and implementing new ideas and cost reduction opportunities

  • Identifying and addressing obsolescence issues with existing equipment

  • Creating, maintaining, and updating equipment files and drawings using AUTOCAD and other software packages

  • Manages/owns preventative/predictive programs and systems to improve process and equipment performance

  • Works closely with Asset Integrity Center of Excellence to meet guidelines for reliability excellence

  • Manage lubrication best practices

  • Coordinate NDT – Thermal, vibration, and oil analysis

  • Work closely with 3rd party mechanical contractors for fabrication and repair equipment

                       

What you can bring to this role:

  • Bachelor‘s Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 2 or more years‘ experience working in an industrial environment preferred

  • Communication skills and partners in the work

  • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with team members and management.

  • Ability to train employees on current and new processes.
