What We're Seeking:
Ambitions Counseling Services is searching for an experienced part-time Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our thriving private practice. In this role, you'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals facing anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, ADHD/ADD, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. At Ambitions Counseling Services, we provide competitive pay in a collaborative and supportive team environment, alongside a flexible schedule, individual marketing, professional headshots, an EHR system, credentialing (which may take up to 2 months), billing support, a laptop, a phone and internet allowance, yearly CEU credits, and liability insurance. Plus, an exciting bonus structure awaits! Initially part-time, this position can transition to full-time as your caseload grows. You'll have the freedom to set your own schedule (with at least 20 direct contact hours of availability required). This is a W2 position, so no worries about the hassle of a 1099!
What You Would Be Doing:
- Providing individual counseling sessions to clients with mental health disorders
- Conducting assessments and developing treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals
- Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Assisting clients in crisis management and providing support during difficult times
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Keeping up-to-date documentation and progress notes for each client
- Performing intake assessments
- Staying up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of mental health therapy
- Actively participating in marketing strategies and networking events to grow client caseload
- Participating in team meetings
Highly Qualified Candidates Will Have:
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Valid Connecticut state license or certification as a Mental Health Therapist (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
- Experience in case management and providing therapy to individuals with mental health disorders
- Knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of psychiatric diagnoses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and ability to handle challenging situations
- Located in or around the Wallingford, Connecticut area
