The role
We're looking for a Software Quality Senior Technician to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of AMD's AI and HPC software stack ROCm. In this role, you will primarily execute test frameworks and test suites that validate APIs, toolchains, and runtime behavior across GPU architectures, drivers, and operating environments. You'll collaborate closely with the developer teams to ensure high-quality output, that meets correctness, conformance, and performance goals.
What you'll do
- Create and maintain automated and manual tests.
- Run tests across different systems and GPUs, track and report results.
- Investigate failures, identify clear steps to reproduce, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Help improve our test processes, coverage, and release readiness.
- Support regular release qualification and ongoing improvements to test reliability.
- Support tech. lab system setup and maintenance
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with automated test framework and test executions.
- Medium level in Python and Bash; reading level of C/C++ coding.
- Experience with OS SDKs and developer tools in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance processes and open-source software.
- 3+ years of relevant experience with interests in effective high-quality software testing.
- Knowledge of ML models, frameworks, and GPU programming is a plus.
