THE ROLE:
Join AMD's EPYC Customer platform Hardware Engineer Team, where we collaborate with customers to deliver advanced platforms for AMD's Instinct EPYC processors.
Our team works directly with customers to optimize the power design of every AMD EPYC board deployed worldwide. Together, we co-develop high-performance, cutting-edge power converters that maximize efficiency, responsiveness, and performance in some of the most demanding computing environments.
As a Power Engineer, you will work closely with system architects, silicon teams, validation engineers, and external partners to design, analyze, and validate advanced power delivery networks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate closely with ODM/OEM partners to ensure the successful deployment of AMD server platforms by enhancing customer solutions with technical resources, including application notes, user guides for customization and tuning, sample/reference design materials, and debugging/profiling tools.
- Conduct platform reviews, bring-up, and debugging on both internal and external reference and production designs, providing effective solutions to customers.
- Perform power simulations to ensure power delivery requirements align with SoC specifications.
- Deliver technical training to customers to enhance their overall design capabilities.
- Engage directly with customers and internal teams on key technical topics, issues, and architectural discussions, facilitating multi-party discussions to drive alignment and resolution.
- Apply strong analytical skills to address technical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
- Provide on-site support to expedite issue resolution and ensure project schedules are met.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop test plans and toolkits for power validation.
- Offer early engagement training on power design and validation for next-generation processors.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- 6 years (Sr. Engineer) or 10+ years (MTS) of power development experience
- Design reviews and audits to ensure power delivery requirements are met.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Strong technical skills with extensive hands-on experiences in performing schematics and power design.
- Experience in working directly with global customers and enabling them to production
- Team player with passion and will to do whatever it takes for business success with a keen sense of urgency and strong drive
- Excellent communication and evangelizing skills with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive team results
- Experience with power integrity analysis
- Strong analog and digital design and verification skills
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- BS or MS in Electronic Engineering (or relative engineering fields)
