THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking a results-driven Component Sales Account Manager to grow strategic customer relationships and drive design wins across key component and channel partners. This role is responsible for expanding AMD's market share by influencing business and technical decision makers, executing account strategies, and delivering revenue growth across assigned accounts.
You will operate at the intersection of technical engagement and commercial execution — partnering closely with customers, distributors, product teams, and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities, shape solutions, and drive successful outcomes. This role requires strong technical acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex customer environments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Account Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute account strategies to grow revenue, expand market share, and strengthen AMD's position within key component customers and partners
- Identify new business opportunities and drive design-win engagements across target accounts
- Build strong relationships with customer decision makers across engineering, procurement, and business teams
Design-Win & Technical Engagement
- Lead design-win activities by aligning customer requirements with AMD product roadmaps and solutions
- Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to support technical evaluations and customer engagements
- Translate customer needs into actionable insights that inform product positioning and strategy
Business Planning & Execution
- Develop quarterly and annual business plans including sell-in and sell-out targets
- Conduct regular business reviews with partners to track performance, identify gaps, and drive action plans
- Manage deal strategy, pricing discussions, and negotiations to support revenue growth
Forecasting & Operational Discipline
- Maintain accurate forecasting and revenue tracking across assigned accounts
- Partner with supply chain, procurement, and business planning teams to support demand planning and execution
- Manage funding programs and ensure alignment with business priorities
Market Insights & Competitive Positioning
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitive dynamics to inform strategy
- Develop positioning strategies that highlight AMD's value proposition across market segments
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Proven experience in component, semiconductor, or channel sales roles
- Experience managing strategic accounts and driving design wins in technical environments
- Familiarity working with distributors, OEMs, or component ecosystem partners
- Strong understanding of semiconductor sales cycles, pricing, and forecasting
- Experience working in global or matrixed organizations
- Ability to balance technical depth with commercial execution
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
