THE ROLE

AMD is seeking a strategic and business-oriented legal leader to support high-impact global initiatives across strategic transactions, procurement, and AI infrastructure. In this role, you will partner closely with senior leaders across finance, operations, supply chain, and technology to structure and execute complex, high-value agreements that enable AMD's continued growth.

You will play a critical role in shaping and negotiating some of AMD's most sophisticated commercial, manufacturing, and infrastructure transactions while helping advance AI and data center capabilities. This position offers significant visibility, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to influence enterprise-critical initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing risk with business objectives while driving efficient and effective deal execution.

 

THE PERSON

You are a highly collaborative and confident legal professional who brings strong business judgment and executive presence. You excel at navigating complex, high-stakes environments and can seamlessly partner with senior stakeholders to deliver practical, solution-oriented guidance.

You are comfortable leading negotiations, aligning diverse stakeholders, and managing multiple priorities simultaneously. With a proactive and organized approach, you build trust across teams and demonstrate the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining a high standard of integrity and professionalism.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as lead counsel for strategic commercial, manufacturing, procurement, and infrastructure transactions
  • Structure, draft, negotiate, and execute a wide range of complex agreements across supply chain, AI infrastructure, and enterprise technology
  • Translate sophisticated commercial and financial concepts into clear, executable legal frameworks
  • Advise senior executives on transaction strategy, risk allocation, governance, and execution
  • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Information Security, HR, and other business teams to drive alignment and decision-making
  • Provide legal support for AI infrastructure initiatives, including data center, supply chain, and capacity expansion programs
  • Develop scalable legal processes, templates, and playbooks to improve contracting efficiency and governance
  • Enhance transaction velocity while maintaining strong risk management standards
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver integrated support across global initiatives
  • Mentor legal professionals and manage outside counsel to ensure high-quality and efficient delivery
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across global regions including North America, EMEA, LATAM, and APAC

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting complex commercial, technology, manufacturing, or supply chain environments
  • Background in leading high-value, strategic transactions within a global organization
  • Familiarity with manufacturing services, procurement agreements, and enterprise technology contracts
  • Experience with AI, SaaS, software licensing, intellectual property, data privacy, and information security considerations
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Proven leadership experience mentoring teams and managing external counsel
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills within fast-paced, high-impact environments

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LL.B. from an accredited law school preferred
  • Active membership in good standing with a state or provincial bar preferred
  • MBA or equivalent business experience considered an asset
