THE ROLE:
We are looking for a highly skilled Ethernet QA Lead with 10+ years of hands-on experience in validating high-speed Ethernet (1G/10G/25G/40G/100G/XGBE) solutions across Linux environments. The ideal candidate will operate as a test lead, drive validation strategy, develop test content, triage complex issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure best-in-class quality for networking platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead end-to-end Ethernet/XGBE validation for networking and storage platforms.
- Own test planning, execution, coverage analysis, and reporting.
- Perform detailed debug and triage for issues across firmware, OS, driver, and hardware layers.
- Develop robust test content, including new test scenarios, frameworks, and workflows.
- Drive automation for test execution using Python, Shell scripting, and CI workflows.
- Validate Ethernet PHY features, link training, auto-negotiation, FEC, SERDES, RDMA offloads, and other networking capabilities.
- Collaborate with BIOS, firmware, silicon, and OS teams to track issues to closure.
- Execute testing on Linux OS variants such as Ubuntu, Yocto, and custom distros.
- Ensure test readiness, resource planning, and mentoring of junior QA engineers.
