The Event Security Manager works closely with Corporate Security leadership, executive protection, physical security, business stakeholders, site leaders, event planners, and external vendors to assess event-related risks, develop security plans, and supervise their execution. This position supports a variety of events, from internal leadership meetings and employee gatherings to public-facing events, executive appearances, and other enterprise activities that require a coordinated security presence.

This position plays a critical role in identifying security concerns, managing operational readiness, and ensuring security resources are allocated properly based on event profile, business impact, budgets, and risk exposure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Event Security Planning & Execution-

  • Lead security planning for corporate events, executive engagements, internal meetings, and other company-sponsored activities
  • Conduct threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments to determine appropriate security measures and resource needs
  • Develop and implement security plans for events, including post orders, staffing arrangements, and escalation procedures
  • Coordinate event security operations from planning stages through execution, providing on-site support as required
  • Ensure security measures are tailored to each event's size, visibility, location, and risk profile

Cross-Functional Coordination-

  • Partner with event organizers, executive protection, physical security, facilities, workplace teams, communications, legal, HR, and business leaders to support safe event execution
  • Coordinate with site security teams and third-party vendors to ensure staffing, access control, screening, traffic management, and emergency support needs are addressed
  • Serve as the primary Corporate Security point of contact for security-related event planning matters
  • Support alignment between event security planning and broader Corporate Security protocols and enterprise priorities
  • Ensure successful budgeting and cost control in collaboration with the respective event leads

Risk Management & Security Oversight-

  • Identify and assess risks related to venue security, executive attendance, protest activity, disruptive behavior, crowd management, emergency response, and other operational concerns
  • Recommend scalable security measures based on threat environment, event sensitivity, executive presence, and business impact
  • Support incident response planning for events, including medical, fire, evacuation, protest, disruptive attendee, and other contingency scenarios
  • Monitor event conditions and adjust security posture as needed based on changing circumstances

Operational Readiness & Program Support-

  • Develop repeatable processes, checklists, and standards for event security planning and execution
  • Maintain documentation, including security plans, staffing requests, vendor coordination details, and after-action summaries
  • Conduct post-event reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for program improvement
  • Support the continued maturation of event security as a formal capability within Corporate Security

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Significant experience in corporate security, event security, physical security, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated experience planning and managing security for events, high-visibility and large-scale meetings, and executive engagements.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment, security operations, access control, incident response, and emergency planning.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
  • Strong judgment and ability to make sound decisions in dynamic operational settings.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple events and priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
  • Experience supporting security for executive events, corporate conferences, public-facing events, or large internal gatherings.
  • Experience in a large global enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with vendor management, guard force coordination, and event operations.
  • Experience developing event security protocols, standards, or playbooks.
  • Knowledge of corporate security best practices related to workplace safety, duty of care, and event risk management.

What Success Looks Like-

  • Corporate events are supported by clear, risk-based security planning and effective execution.
  • Security considerations are integrated early into event planning and business decision-making.
  • Event-related risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated appropriately.
  • Executives, employees, and guests are supported by a safe, professional, and well-coordinated security presence.
