THE ROLE:
AMD is looking for a highly talented engineer to join our team as a Graduate Trainee in our December 2026 intake.As a Product Development Graduate Trainee, you will collaborate with various Product Development Groups to bring-up and ramp new products which include Plan, debug and handling manufacturing and characterization test programs for next-generation AMD microprocessors.
THE PERSON:
The person has a clear passion for our customer's winning with AMD products. Showing emotional intelligence while interacting with the customer is fundamental and balancing this with a structured approach to moving the customer strategically aligned with AMD business needs is equally critical. Equally important to the customer relationships is building a positive relationship with all related development teams so that when issues for key talent or other special requests are required there is very low latency.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Validate new product features, test conditions, test methodologies, and test contents during first silicon bring-up
- Post Silicon Bring up of Test patterns leading to optimization for mass production enablement
- Analysis of part failures leading to test improvement
- Test pattern & test flow development, debug, test and characterization
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, C++
- Logic analyzers, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and debug
- Good understanding of Linux, Unix or Windows OS
- Solid understanding of transistors and computer basics
- AI/HPC software stacks, ROCm, TensorFlow or Pytorch is a plus with regards to AI application
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's or Master's in electrical electronics engineering, computer engineering, or comparable disciplines
