Job Role and Responsibility: AMD, Inc., is hiring Product Development Engineer to Drive complex data-based debug supporting IC design and product development for latest semiconductor devices. Apply knowledge of electronic theory, circuit boards, processors, chips, and design tools to support engineering workflows. Design and implement distributed systems for collecting and processing log events from semiconductor design tools (e.g., simulation outputs, synthesis logs, timing reports). Automate data pipelines to support high-volume, high-velocity data from ASIC development processes including architecture definition, patterns, and system tests. Own the design and development of metrics, reports, dashboards, and analytics to drive key decisions in chip design and manufacturing. Develop interactive dashboards and analysis tools to visualize key semiconductor metrics such as design efficiency, yield performance, time-to-failure, and verification coverage across various stages of chip development. Perform ad hoc analysis to track unit-level performance across semiconductor manufacturing stages focusing on production anomalies and test patterns. Monitor and troubleshoot data issues in semiconductor manufacturing and development flows, including synthesis, place-and-route, and simulation data pipelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineers, verification teams, and product managers to identify data-driven opportunities for improving chip design and manufacturing efficiency. Support semiconductor defect analysis and resolution by leveraging data from simulation, verification, and test tools to identify root causes and propose corrective actions. Can work remotely.
