THE ROLE:

The Program Manager is responsible for managing ASIC and PCBA products manufactured through Contract Manufacturers (CMs). This role ensures on-time delivery, inventory optimization, and strong coordination between internal teams and external manufacturing partners.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Material Clear-to-Build (CTB) Contract Manufacturer Management
    • Manage day-to-day operations with contract manufacturers to ensure adherence to production schedules, and delivery commitments.
    • Serve as the primary planner interface between OEM and CMs.
    • Own and manage material clear-to-build (CTB) status for all OEM products at contract manufacturers.
    • Ensure all materials (BOM, AVL, alternate parts, ECO/ECN revisions) are available, approved, and released before build start.
    • Coordinate closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality in CM to resolve material shortages, holds, or qualification gaps.
    • Track and communicate material readiness, shortages, and risk items impacting production plans.
    • Drive material recovery plans with suppliers and CMs to minimize line stoppages and build delays.
    • Support material readiness for ramp-up, and product transitions, ensuring CTB alignment with build schedules.
  • Planning & Execution
    • Manage demand and supply alignment based on forecasts and business needs.
    • Coordinate material planning, production loading, and capacity planning with CMs.
    • Monitor production progress and proactively address delays or supply constraints.
    • Support ramp-up, ramp-down activities at CM sites.
  • Inventory & Logistics Management
    • Optimize inventory levels across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
    • Ensure accurate inventory reporting and resolve discrepancies with CMs.
    • Coordinate logistics, shipment schedules, and delivery commitments to customers or downstream hubs.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Program Management teams.
    • Support sourcing, cost reduction, EOL (End of Life), and risk mitigation activities.
    • Participate in ECN/ECO implementation and ensure smooth transition at CMs.

  • Risk & Compliance Management
    • Identify supply chain risks (capacity, material shortages, geopolitical, quality).
    • Develop and execute mitigation and contingency plans.
    • Ensure CMs comply with OEM standards, contractual terms, and operational compliance requirements.

  • Reporting & Communication
    • Prepare and present regular dashboards, and management updates.
    • Communicate issues, recovery plans, and escalations clearly and timely to stakeholders.
    • Support audits and business reviews with accurate data and analyses.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:

  • Experience
    • 5–8 years of experience in Planning, supply chain, operations, or manufacturing.
    • Proven experience managing Contract Manufacturers in an OEM environment.
    • Experience in electronics, semiconductor, or high-mix manufacturing is preferred.

  • Skills & Competencies
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain planning and execution processes.
    • Solid understanding of contract manufacturing models and OEM–CM dynamics.
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel.

  • Behavioral Competencies
    • Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Proactive, detail-oriented, and continuous improvement mindset.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management/Planning, Engineering, Business, or related field.
