THE ROLE:
The Program Manager (PM) will reside within the Global Operations and Quality (GOQ) organization and play a strategic role in shaping and scaling AMD's Value-Added Services (VAS) portfolio to meet evolving business and customer needs. This role goes beyond program execution to help align VAS priorities with business unit strategies, commercial opportunities, and operational capabilities, ensuring AMD can deliver differentiated service offerings that create enterprise value.
This position partners closely with all key Business Unit functions, Sales, Legal, Finance, and numerous GOQ departments to translate market, customer, and operational requirements into scalable VAS solutions. The role requires strong business engagement, influencing across functions to define priorities, drive alignment, and build the governance, processes, and tools needed to support growth, execution discipline, and long-term competitiveness.
The PM is expected to operate with a high degree of independence, strategic judgment, and executive presence while engaging internal and external stakeholders to advance business objectives, unlock new opportunities, and strengthen AMD's overall VAS value proposition.
THE PERSON:
You are a strategic, business-oriented program leader who is equally comfortable engaging senior stakeholders, navigating ambiguity, and translating complex business needs into actionable plans. You bring strong executive communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence across functions to build alignment, drive decisions, and advance shared objectives. You are highly organized and detail-oriented, but also forward-looking—able to connect operational execution with broader business outcomes, identify opportunities for growth and improvement, and bring structure, discipline, and momentum to a fast-paced environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead strategic execution of VAS programs, ensuring priorities, milestones, risks, and interdependencies are actively managed in support of business objectives
- Drive integration of new product, customer, and business unit requirements into VAS strategies, operating models, and execution frameworks
- Identify and advance opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and business impact across the VAS portfolio through process, governance, and tool enhancements
- Partner across GOQ, Business Units, Sales, Finance, Legal, and other key stakeholders to align priorities, improve visibility, and strengthen execution discipline
- Develop executive-ready materials and insights for program reviews, stakeholder updates, and decision forums to support alignment, prioritization, and strategic action
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Significant program or project management experience in semiconductor operations, supply chain, manufacturing, or other complex business environments, with a track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that support strategic business objectives
- Experience engaging across product, customer, supplier, and operational stakeholders to translate evolving business requirements into executable plans and scalable solutions
- Proven ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization, build alignment among diverse stakeholders, and communicate effectively with both operational teams and senior leadership
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
- Program or project management certification is desired
