12 Month Fixed Term Contract Position - Commercial Lawyer – EMEA (Maternity Cover)
We are looking for a commercial lawyer based in Ireland on a fixed term basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating and advising upon a wide variety of real estate transactions in the EMEA region. You will also support inbound and outbound commercial and technology transactions. This position reports to the EMEA Legal Director.
You will partner and collaborate with business groups primarily located in EMEA, as well as external lawyers to ensure appropriate contractual terms and protections for the business.
About the Role:
- Partnering with the EMEA Real Estate team regarding property‑related matters across the region, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial property leases, amendments, renewals, side letters, licenses, and related occupancy agreements.
- Supporting the EMEA Sales team with drafting, reviewing and analyzing contractual terms with customers and key partners
- Working closely with key supporting functions in EMEA and globally (e.g. Finance, Accounting and Global Operations)
- Supporting corporate governance efforts for key EMEA sites.
About You:
- You must be admitted to practice law in Ireland as a solicitor or barrister.
- You will have 5+ years of experience in the practice of law, as a qualified solicitor or barrister, with law firm and/or in-house counsel experience, emphasizing commercial transactions.
- You will be commercially savvy with strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- You will have strong oral communication skills and excellent contract drafting and negotiating skills.
- Ability to assess and deliver advice in a pragmatic manner to various non-lawyer business groups.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Dedicated, organized and able to prioritize and multitask well.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and highly team oriented.
