THE ROLE 

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead our Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) Enablement Team within the Enterprise and High-Performance Compute Business Group (EHBG). This individual will collaborate with AMD's largest Enterprise & HPC EPYC™ processor customers, enabling them to build world-class x86 servers across all target market segments. The role involves close collaboration with internal groups such as sales, marketing, operations, pricing and product teams to ensure alignment and execution of AMD and customer product roadmaps, as well as coordinating marketing activities to drive share gains for customer products. Attributes of a successful candidate include a deep understanding of the semiconductor and server industries, experience in the OEM and/or ODM ecosystems, strong business acumen, and a passion for driving growth through effective sales and marketing strategies. Success in this role will be measured by platform coverage of the world's leading x86 server suppliers using AMD EPYC CPUs and the share growth within their product portfolios. 

THE PERSON 

The ideal candidate is a strong operator with a proven track record of driving OEM and/or ODM engagements and achieving aggressive targets. He/she possesses strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, a passion to win, and a collaborative mindset.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive OEM and ODM-focused strategies that enhance platform coverage and align with AMD's and the customer's overall business objectives. 

  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify industry trends, OEM and ODM customer needs, and competitive landscape, utilizing insights to inform strategies for platform coverage expansion. 

  • Sales and Marketing Enablement: Collaborate with sales teams to develop and implement strategies that drive platform coverage expansion across the OEM and ODM customer base; engage marketing teams to efficiently allocate, deploy and track Market Development Funds (MDF) that deliver mutually beneficial results. 

  • Solutions Positioning: Work closely with AMD's Market and Ecosystem Development team to construct solutions with OEM and ODM EPYC-powered servers and Independent Software Vendor (ISV) offerings that meet market demands and deliver business results required by enterprise customers. 

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) associated with platform coverage and marketing funds effectiveness, using them to make data-driven decisions regarding AMD investment. 

  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Semiconductor & Server Experience: Deep understanding of the semiconductor and server industries with significant experience working in the OEM and/or ODM ecosystems. Sales experience on an MNC account team is a plus.  

  • Outstanding Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and with customers and external partners. Interest in pursuit of General Management career path is a plus. 

  • Deep Cross-Functional Collaboration Experience: Proven ability to work closely with sales, marketing, product management, and engineering teams to successfully secure and grow OEM and ODM business. 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
