THE ROLE:
The Senior Manager – IAM, is a technical leader responsible for selecting and implementing latest capabilities for AMD's IAM program. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing cutting-edge capabilities to develop a robust and efficient Identity and Access Management systems. Your role will combine technical expertise, leadership, and a passion for collaboration to help various teams across AMD achieve secure and seamless IAM solutions that enhance user experience.
THE PERSON:
Your core focus as a Senior Manager IAM would be to engineer, manage, and operate IAM tools and processes that align with AMD's secure posture. Additionally, you will work closely with other teams to define end-to-end architectures and designs for workforce (IGA and IDP), customer (CIAM), and PAM solutions that cater to multi-cloud and on-prem environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a highly motivated team of IAM senior engineers and technical support specialists that contribute to and implement AMD's Identity and Access Management (IAM) vision and roadmap, including Identity Provider (IDP), Identity Governance and Administration (IGA), Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
- In partnership with business stakeholder define requirements for IDP, IGA, CIAM and PAM capabilities, develop and evolve solution architectures and designs, drive implementations and obtain compliance approvals for the proposed architectures.
- Propose, evaluate, and recommend solution alternatives that best meet business strategy requirements, current state environment constraints and alignment to target state architecture.
- Implement architectures and solution designs, following project delivery methodologies to meet program timelines, budget, and quality measurements
- Propose and implement continuous improvements to tools and processes.
- Support the development of comprehensive IAM strategy roadmaps, providing input to project investments and representing the IAM function for renewal and maintenance perspective.
- Manage Budget by tracking contract renewals, project spend, contractors and participate in roadmap exercises for forecast future investments
- Establish metrics to demonstrate IAM solutions are meeting business and security objectives, and leverage as source for continuous improvements
- Prepare reports and present to Senior leadership on IAM solution's operational metrics and project status.
- Continuously improve and innovate IAM solutions to drive value, enhance user experience, improve security posture.
- Ensure team growth, mentor and guide staff to ensure employees align to IAM program and vision. Provide Leadership, coaching and direction to help team members develop their skills and perform at their best.
- Manage IAM integration deliverables as part of Merger and Acquisitions
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- This role is to lead a global team as part of a global IT organization
- Leadership experience leading and coaching technical teams/people to their highest potential.
- Extensive experience in implementing IAM technologies, processes, and capabilities.
- Hands on experience in Merger and Acquisition project of medium to large scale
- Experience in integrating IAM technologies and proven track record for driving automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash Etc.
- Hands on experience and deep understanding of technologies, controls, and standard methodologies (e.g., CIAM, WorkForce, LDAP, Microsoft AD, Azure, PKI, SAML, OIDC, OAUTH, MFA, SSO, Adaptive Authentication, FIDO, Passwordless, Privileged Access Management, Identity Governance and Administration).
- Extensive experience in Linux environment and proven track record in managing LDAP
- Working knowledge of cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure/Entra and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Extensive experience in applying IT risk management practices to assess, measure and reduce risk related to the IAM domain.
- Strong verbal and written communication, executive presentations, interpersonal and collaborative skills.
- Proven experience in writing technical documentation.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
