THE ROLE:

The Operations & Strategy Manager will integrate key functions of sales operations responsibilities, strategic initiatives leadership, and sales transformation planning & execution. This role requires a leader who is adept at operationalizing strategies with a deep understanding of the IT industry ecosystem (semiconductor, MNC, Channels & Partners), strong data driven acumen, and a proven track record in driving sales and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with the APAC MD and his/her team across APAC to align strategic goals with operational execution and lead transformative projects that enhance AMD's performance and market position.

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Sales Operations Functions:  

  • Work cross functionally with WW Business Management and Operations team to manage day-to-day operational activities to ensure organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and focus on the critical few. 

  • Design and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures that enhance productivity and streamline processes across APAC. 

  • Analyze operational performance data and lead efforts to optimize business processes and resource allocation across both sales org and MNC engagements. 

  • Review and monitor the key performance indicators across the organization and bring to the fore any critical deficiencies that need attention 

  • Oversee the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and measuring progress against KPIs. 

 

  1. Sales Transformation: 

  • Support Sales leadership in implementing transformative sales strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion in identified pockets of opportunity. 

  • Develop and execute innovative sales strategies, tools, and processes to meet evolving market demands and customer needs. Drive proliferation of insightful “less is more” tools and strategies to enable business acceleration and visibility. 

  • Partner with the sales team to address challenges, refine sales processes, and enhance customer and MNC engagement and satisfaction. 

 

  1. Partnering with Managing Director: 

  • Help prepare executive level decks and status updates for key MNCs & partner meetings. 

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the APAC leadership team and various departments. 

  • Manage high-priority projects and initiatives assigned by the APAC MD, ensuring timely and successful delivery. 

  • Own and prepare in a timely manner deliverables such as, but not limited to, Weekly staff meetings, Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, Key Initiative Updates, etc. Maintain the “cadence calendar”. 

 

  1. Stakeholder Engagement: 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including peers in India and Japan, as well as teams in WW HQ roles. 

  • Effectively work across functional teams for overall strategy planning, program planning and management to support strategic goals. 

  • Represent AMD at key internal meetings when required, advocating for the region's interests and objectives. 

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred. 

  • Experience: Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in management roles within the technology industry, with proven expertise in strategic planning, operations management, and sales transformation. Experience within the IT Channel would be advantageous with respect to better understanding our GtM motions and partner mindsets. 

  • Skills: 

    • Strong leadership and team management abilities. 

    • Exceptional data analytics, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proven experience in driving operational efficiency and sales performance. 

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams; “stitching the seams” between different teams with a view to timely delivery of common goals & strategic imperatives. 
  • Proficiency in project management and strategic planning methodologies. 

  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Excel in data manipulation, analysis and presentation. (Experience with Power BI advantageous) 

  • Experience in assisting sales leadership with pipeline management through the utilization of SFDC and associated systems 

  • Experience engaging with MNCs
