THE ROLE:
At AMD, we focus on providing the highest performance computing products to the industry's leading enterprise and cloud providers. In the AMD Server Performance Group, we build on our depth in microarchitecture knowledge and simulation to analyze and optimize high-performance System-on-a-Chip (SoC) designs for critical areas such as AI/ML, cloud computing, and high-performance computing.
We work closely with our partners to ensure that we provide the best performance solutions for their applications and infrastructure computing offerings. We also work closely with the silicon design teams to influence next generation server compute products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, improve, administer, and maintain our server performance testing infrastructure including onsite and colocation facilities.
- Setup and verify proper operation and performance of test systems and cluster deployments.
- Collect and analyze performance profiling data of AMD based and competitive systems.
- Work closely with other team members to prepare complex workload setups.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Expertise in system configuration and debug.
- Experience and deep knowledge of server subsystems (memory, storage, BIOS, power supplies)
- Experience with rack-level server solutions and deployments.
- Familiarity with performance analysis tools and techniques.
- System administration experience for Linux and Windows systems.
- Expertise with high speed network topologies and switching technology.
- Experience with PCIe logic analyzers
- Expertise with server storage technologies, SSD, RAID, and disaggregated storage.
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a closely related field preferred
