THE ROLE:

We are seeking a seasoned technical leader to drive competitive performance analysis and strategic insights across data center SoC, GPU, and platform solutions. This role is focused on deeply understanding data center GPU architectures, systems, and product strategies, and translating that knowledge into clear, actionable guidance for architecture, product planning, performance, and go‑to‑market teams.

You will lead efforts to analyze competitive products and platforms across performance, power, cost, scalability, and system-level tradeoffs, influencing internal roadmaps and priorities. This is a highly visible role that requires close engagement with architecture, design, software, marketing, and executive leadership, and the ability to synthesize complex technical data into concise strategic narratives.

THE PERSON

You are a technically credible product performance thinker with excellent communication and storytelling skills. You are comfortable operating across abstraction layers—from microarchitecture to full-system and workload behavior—and can clearly articulate competitive strengths, gaps, and risks.

You thrive in highly collaborative environments, enjoy mentoring others, and are trusted to represent technical positions with clarity and rigor in discussions with senior architects, product leaders, and executives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead data center GPU performance architecture and system-level analysis including silicon, firmware, and software stacks
  • Analyze competitor performance, power, efficiency, scalability, and cost tradeoffs across key workloads and customer use cases
  • Develop and maintain models, benchmarks, and comparison frameworks to support internal performance analysis and tradeoffs
  • Work cross-functionally with architecture, design, performance, software, and product teams to:
    • Identify competitive gaps, risks, and opportunities
    • Influence feature prioritization, architectural tradeoffs, and roadmap decisions
    • Define and implement new performance features and optimizations
  • Translate deep technical analysis into clear, executive-ready insights for strategy, marketing, and leadership reviews
  • Support marketing and business teams by providing technical validation and context for competitive positioning, messaging, and customer engagements
  • Drive knowledge sharing across the organization through presentations, reviews, and internal documentation
  • Mentor engineers and analysts in competitive methodology, benchmarking rigor, and systems thinking

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Outstanding foundation in GPU architecture and performance
  • Experience analyzing microarchitectural and system-level behavior to explain performance differences across real workloads
  • Strong understanding of power and efficiency tradeoffs, including architectural and system-level implications
  • Demonstrated experience performing or consuming competitive benchmarking, reverse engineering, or architectural comparison studies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting complex technical content to senior technical and business audiences
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across globally distributed teams and influence without direct authority
