THE TEAM:
AMD's Data Center GPU (DCGPU) organization is shaping the future with AI-based GPUs for enterprise data centers, AI, HPC, and embedded systems. Join us as we build cutting-edge AI-powered products with a world-class team.

 

THE ROLE:
Seeking a Senior Director technical leader to drive GPU workload performance optimization, deep learning training/inference efficiency, and architecture innovation through advanced optimization techniques.

 

THE PERSON:

A strong and collaborative leader who can guide SoC/System architects, profile and optimize GPU workloads, and influence design decisions across AI and HPC infrastructure.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Vision: Define long-term GPU performance and optimization roadmaps.
  • Performance Excellence: Identify and mitigate workload bottlenecks in compute, memory, and interconnects.
  • Design Influence: Partner with architects on next-gen GPU and framework design.
  • Innovation: Develop new optimization methods (custom kernels, fusion, distributed computing).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with product, business, and research teams.
  • Culture: Promote technical excellence and performance-first engineering.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Deep expertise in GPU architecture, parallel computing, and performance profiling.
  • Proven leadership in guiding large engineering teams.
  • Strong communication with executives, technical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of large-scale AI/HPC systems, multi-node GPU clusters, and memory hierarchies.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
MS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field

 

LOCATION:

Santa Clara, CA is primary location
