SENIOR MANAGER HARDWARE INFRASTRUCTURE

THE ROLE: 

AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a worldside team of Hardware Infrastructure engineers supporting our internal teams to execute on Graphics and Multimedia IP products.

THE PERSON: 

The ideal candidate has experience leading others in technical and managerial settings. You also have excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Lead a worldwide team of engineers supporting and developing EDA Tools and Methodologies that enable our engineers to delivery world class Graphics and Multimedia cores.
• Collaborate with EDA Vendors, Internal tool developers and IT teams.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: 

• A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team  
• Experience developing and maintaining software tools used by hardware teams (e.g. Databases, Regression management tools, Disk and Computing reports etc).
• Skilled in at least one software language (e.g. Python, C++).
• Strong knowledge of the hardware IP development flow.
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills 
• Proven experience managing and leading teams.

• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills including the ability to analyze current behavior, identify potential areas for improvement and design of experiments 
• Must be a self-starter and self-motivated 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: 

• Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
