The Role
As a Senior Developer Relations Manager within AMD's Client and Graphics business unit, you will define and lead the strategic partnership with the Microsoft Windows team. This role owns one of the most critical partnerships in AMD's client business, with responsibility for ensuring strong alignment between AMD's client SoC roadmap and the Windows OS roadmap.
You will work closely with cross‑functional teams across AMD and Microsoft to align priorities, drive execution, and deliver successful outcomes across complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives. This is a highly visible role requiring both strategic leadership and hands‑on ownership, as well as the ability to operate effectively at senior and executive levels.
The Person
The successful candidate is:
- A strategic, self‑directed leader with a strong passion for shaping both near‑term execution and long‑term partnerships
- Someone who demonstrates a strategic partnership mindset, with an understanding of PC hardware, software, and system architectures, and familiarity with the Windows ecosystem
- An exceptional communicator, able to engage, influence, and align a wide range of stakeholders, including senior and executive leadership
- A proactive self‑starter who operates comfortably in complex, cross‑functional environments, balancing strategic thinking with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes
Key Responsibilities
- Define, own, and lead the strategic partnership with the Microsoft Windows team
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment between AMD's client SoC roadmap and the Windows OS roadmap
- Drive coordination and alignment across engineering, product management, and business teams to support platform readiness and execution
- Plan, manage, and lead regular internal and external executive‑level meetings to ensure clear accountability, transparency, and progress
- Communicate partnership strategy, priorities, risks, and progress effectively to senior leadership, providing clear, executive‑level updates that support informed decision‑making and successful outcomes
Preferred Experience
- Background in product management, developer relations, business development, partner management, and/or software or systems engineering, with demonstrated experience driving strategic initiatives that span both technical and business domains
- Strong understanding of PC hardware and software ecosystems, with particular familiarity with the Windows platform and associated developer ecosystems
- Proven ability to collaborate across highly cross‑functional teams and influence alignment at both working and executive levels
- Experience building and sustaining deep, productive partnerships both within an organization and between companies
- Experience in related fields, with increasing scope and responsibility
Academic Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
- MBA or master's degree preferred
