THE ROLE:  

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Staff At-Scale Validation Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor to the success of AMD's product, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry leading technologies to market. The Systems Design Engineering team fosters and encourages continuous technical innovation to showcase successes as well as facilitate continuous career development.  

 

THE PERSON:  

As a Staff At-Scale Validation Engineer, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your program management and validation experience will be necessary towards product development, execution and launch. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Partner with materials, supply chain, and lab teams to ensure hardware availability, configuration correctness, and deployment readiness for validation programs.
  • Aid in identifying yearly budget for system builds & maintenance
  • Manage and maintain inventory for complex server platforms across multiple sites and environments, ensuring consistency, traceability, and accuracy throughout the validation lifecycle.
  • Lead task and deliverable management for the internal automation and validation teams, ensuring commitments are visible, tracked, and delivered on schedule.
  • Help plan and track system builds and farm ramp to validation requirements & program schedule
  • Prepare material for executive presentations in collaboration with primary contributors
  • Actively contribute to process optimization initiatives, identifying inefficiencies in validation workflows, tooling, and handoffs, and driving data-backed improvements.
  • Work with multiple teams to track test execution, results for validation test plans from bring up through production phases of SoC programs
  • Closely collaborate across supporting program management and technical teams to drive results

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:  

  • Fluency in using analytics tools like Power BI, Excel, MSFT program management suite
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to attain efficiency, adept at basic programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python) 
  • Proven experience with Post-Si validation or debug of any SoC or processor (s).
  • Extensive program management experience in semiconductor industry
  • Experience handling computer systems, lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.  
  • Foundational knowledge of system architecture
  • Strong analytical/problem-solving skills, highly organized, disciplined and, detail oriented independent individual 
  • Must be collaborative yet a self-starter and, able to drive tasks to completion on schedule
  • Being skillful in at-scale triage or debug techniques and methodologies is a plus

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:  

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in electrical or computer engineering
