At AMD, our mission is to build great products that accelerate next-generation computing experiences—from AI and data centers, to PCs, gaming and embedded systems. Grounded in a culture of innovation and collaboration, we believe real progress comes from bold ideas, human ingenuity and a shared passion to create something extraordinary. When you join AMD, you'll discover the real differentiator is our culture. We push the limits of innovation to solve the world's most important challenges—striving for execution excellence, while being direct, humble, collaborative, and inclusive of diverse perspectives. Join us as we shape the future of AI and beyond.  Together, we advance your career.

The Role

We're looking for a rare kind of talent: a Superstar AI Creator & Educator. This is someone who combines deep technical skill with exceptional teaching ability and creative vision. You've taught AI to hundreds of thousands (or millions), built standout technical content, and can break down frontier research with clarity and style.

Welcome to the Llama team—where curiosity runs wild, and innovation is our natural habitat. We're a tight-knit group of passionate builders, educators, and AI explorers at AMD, united by a shared mission: to push the boundaries of what's possible with generative AI and make cutting-edge knowledge accessible to developers everywhere.

This is not a traditional educator role. You'll work directly with leadership to create flagship educational content, shape strategy, and drive high-leverage partnerships. You'll help scale our teaching efforts and reimagine how AI is taught to developers, researchers, and professionals at a global scale.

This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of AI, storytelling, and impact. More so, you'll get to really focus on AI education and how that should be shaped and taught in the future.

The Person

You're a technical educator with creator energy. You are someone who codes, teaches, builds, and thinks big but also gets down into the details. You've shipped courses, spoken on stages, or created content that's educated 100K-1M+ people. You care deeply about clarity, quality, and reach. You're low ego, high initiative, and you thrive in creative collaboration.

You're not just here to explain things. You're here to reinvent how they're explained to create de facto courses across different AI topics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create world-class AI education content (courses, videos, live sessions, docs, demos)
  • Write code and build prototypes to illustrate complex AI concepts simply
  • Lead creative strategy on how we teach AI topics, from distributed inference optimization to recent speculative decoding strategies
  • Scale impact through high-visibility partnerships across the AI ecosystem
  • Collaborate with leadership to drive strategic content, outreach, and education initiatives
  • Push the boundaries of what great technical education looks and feels like

Skills Must-Have:

  • Proven track record teaching AI to 100K-1M+ learners (courses, talks, content)
  • Deep technical expertise in LLMs
  • Ability to explain complex concepts with clarity and simplicity
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor (coding, writing, building)
  • Strong strategic thinking and creative collaboration skills
  • Existing relationships in the AI ecosystem (academia, dev platforms, research, etc.)
  • Professional online presence with high-quality public content
  • At least one candidate should have experience managing or mentoring others

Preferred:

  • Experience working with course platforms, edtech tools, or developer relations
  • Track record of viral or widely shared content in the AI/technical space
  • Familiarity with design, UX, or visual storytelling to enhance engagement
  • Previous collaboration with major tech companies or research institutions

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Master's degree preferred; PhD is a strong plus, especially with publications in distributed systems, AI infrastructure, or GPU computing.
