Role Summary
The Tax Manager, Federal Income Tax will support U.S. federal income tax accounting and compliance for a publicly traded multinational company. This role has significant exposure to ASC 740, CAMT, and ASC 718 stock-based compensation tax accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review U.S. federal income tax provision workpapers under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax calculations.
- Support quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including taxes payable proof process.
- Prepare and review U.S. federal corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments.
- Review and analyze ASC 718 stock-based compensation tax impacts, including excess tax benefits and deferred tax effects.
- Assist with CAMT calculations and modeling, as applicable.
- Prepare return-to-provision analyses and audit-ready documentation.
- Support federal income tax audits, including IDRs and responses.
- Prepare return to provision for both current and deferred taxes.
- Maintain SOX-compliant processes and documentation.
Preferred Experience:
- Solid experience with federal corporate income tax, including ASC 740.
- Strong technical understanding of both current and deferred tax accounting principles as well as FIN 48 reserves and valuation allowance analysis.
- Experience with stock-based compensation tax accounting (ASC 718) a plus.
- Exposure to CAMT, FDII, or international tax concepts is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to lead time sensitive, complex projects from start to finish and coordinate cross-functionally with other members of the CFO organization and internally within the Tax organization.
- Must be organized and detail oriented.
Academic Credentials:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Tax, or related field; CPA or MST a plus.
