Applied Industrial Technologies is currently seeking and has an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Warehouse Representative/Driver at our Brantford, Ontario location.
At Applied, the Warehouse Representative/Driver has immediate impact on our Distribution/Service Centre's performance and in customer satisfaction. You'll join a tight-knit team of internal associates and loyal, long-term customers. Productivity and accuracy are key measures for success.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Receiving and shipping all materials and products in an accurate and timely manner
Sort material, stock shelves, pick orders, package and label materials
Pick and prepare sales orders for outbound shipment
Utilize and manage bin locations
Organize and maintain all applicable records and files
Maintain up to date knowledge of the company's service offerings
Maintain cooperative and productive inter-departmental relationships to deliver exceptional customer service
Take personal responsibility for and actively engage in product, systems and skill training and development
Use motor truck, hand and mobile lift equipment, simple hand and power tools, weighing scales, postage meters
Operate company vehicle to pick up and deliver orders, equipment, and mail as required. Sort assignments and arrange most efficient route
Assist in counter and telephone sales, order pulling, customer calls as needed
Maintain clean driving record
Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following qualifications:
Experience in shipping and receiving; preferably within an industrial distribution setting
Forklift operation experience
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend and regular lifting of 50 lbs. or more
Parts Management experience
Customer service driven
Motivated and willing to learn
Proficient computer skills
Detail oriented
Basic mathematical aptitude
Self-motivated and organized
Can work independently or in a team environment
