The Echo Tech performs quality echocardiographic studies as ordered by the physicians as well as the performance of all other non-invasive cardiac procedures within the Cardiology Department. Performs echocardiographic studies considering the age-specific physiological emotional and cognitive needs of the patient. Consistently performs quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams. Maintains competence in all other procedures performed in the Cardiology Department. Demonstrates understanding of cardiac disease processes in order to obtain complete acquisition of images for clinical diagnosis by the reading cardiologist. Reports pertinent information or changes of patient's condition to physician nurse and/or supervisor/senior tech incorporating age-specific information. Has a basic understanding of acquired images. Reports findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation.
Facility Requirements:Must have AART/RDMS certification must be registered in Adult EchocardiographyMust have BLS certifications must be attached to the submission packet must be through the American Heart Association RQI certifications will not be acceptedMust have 5 years recent US Tech experienceShifts will be Monday-Friday 8a-4:30pMUST USE TEMPLATE BELOW TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE ROLE.
