The Basics Location: You will based in the Midwest and the work will take place at various grain elevators, flour mills and soybean processing plants located throughout the Midwest and in North Carolina. The ability to effectively supervise and manage business objectives and operations team. Effectively communicate tasks, directives and policies with both senior management and supervised workers. Must oversee daily operations of the facilities. Provides leadership, support, and accountability to implement all required safety, regulatory, and Company programs and protocols. Commitment to worker safety, regulatory compliance, and adherence to Company policies and/or procedures. Motivate the team to be the best they can be and take pride in their daily tasks. Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, in addition to Company policy. Coordinates maintenance, and large repairs with the operations team and senior management. Performs safety inspections, monitors facility safety and quality controls. Oversees and monitors preventative maintenance, quality and operational programs and results. Assist with managing the business according to pre-set objectives. Knowledgeable of all operations, systems, policies and procedures including, but not limited to: Weighing or measuring materials and products and using scales or other measuring instruments to verify specified tonnages Manipulating controls, levers, and valves to start pumps, auxiliary equipment or conveyors, and to adjust equipment positions, speeds, timing, and material flows Recording and tracking data such as weights, types, quantities and storage locations of materials, as well as equipment performance problems and downtime Cleaning, sterilizing, and maintaining equipment, machinery, and work stations, using hand tools, shovels, brooms, chemicals, hoses, and lubricants Observing conveyor operations and monitor lights, dials, and gauges, to maintain specified operating levels and to detect equipment malfunctions Effectively communicates tasks, directives and policies with both senior management and supervised workers. Requirements to be successful in this position: Background/experience with the current SIMON Maintenace system is preferred. Bachelor's Degree in agricultural-related studies or Business with relevant work experience is strongly preferred. Must possess strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications. This job requires the ability to read and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies and memos, and to communicate clearly with co-workers and supervisors. For safety reasons, must be able to read, write, understand and follow written and/or verbal instructions in English Here are some of the physical requirements for this role: This job can be physically strenuous You will work in tight and confined spaces You will work at heights You will need the ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and occasionally more This job will require the ability to ascend/descend ladders and stairs You will be required to wear PPE which will include respirators in certain areas You will be exposed to the weather, including extreme heat and/or cold, wind, rain, snow, and other adverse weather conditions Must be able to walk for extended periods over uneven surfaces You will be exposed to various site hazards, including but not limited to loud noises and flashing lights, dust and fumes, hazardous materials, heavy equipment and machinery, and other situations specific to the work and location
