Job Description
Objective
The efficient day to day running of the Stores and warehouse; guiding the team to the successful accomplishment of agreed targets and goals.
Hourly Rate: $17-18
Schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm (M-F)
Key Duties:
- Provide day to day supervision of staff within the Stores and Warehouse function, covering tasks in the event of staff absence.
- Ensure Stock checks are completed and that Stock Accuracy targets are achieved.
- Ensure systems are in place to maintain accurately stock management
- Goods In – Ensure that stock is booked in accuracy and efficiently by the team
- Dispatch – Ensure the team are dispatching orders in a cost effective and efficient manner
- Dispatch - Coordinate routine logistics
- Dispatch – Ensure all product is protectively packages in line with company SOPs and that large orders are correctly palletized
- Provide pricing and shipping times to sales
- Propose and Contribute to Continuous Improvement activities
- Daily booking in and inspection of all material purchases ensuring that production demand is covered by timely supply
- Ensuring that sales demand for all material is covered by adequate and timely supply through accurate stock management with planned schedules
- Ensure that correct, cost effective packaging is used for outgoing shipments
- Participate in daily meeting, highlighting any issues and contributing to solutions.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety, housekeeping, quality and environmental policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Delegation and allocation of overtime to their direct reports.
- Ensure any staff performance or disciplinary issues are addressed
- Ensure all HR policies and absence management are consistently enforced and carried out in a timely fashion
- Manage holiday request to ensure sufficient resource is available to meet business needs
- International Logistics – Ensure that all customs and regulatory requirements are identified, produce the required documents and coordinate suppliers
- Conduct job interviews and contribute to the selection of new Warehouse Operatives
Qualifications & Experience:
- Inventory Management, Logistics, negotiation.
- MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Word, Inventory Management system
- Preferred experience in inventory control, pick/pack/ship, freight handling and forklift certification.
