*This position is onsite and in the Finance department.
Summary
The Data Analyst I supports data-driven decision making by developing and maintaining dashboards and analytical reports across casino and support operations. This role focuses on building foundational analytical skills, ensuring data accuracy, and developing an understanding of casino metrics, operations, and reporting standards. The Data Analyst I demonstrates curiosity about data and trends while supporting senior analysts and business partners with reliable reporting and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of dashboards using Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
Produce routine and ad-hoc reports following established standards and definitions.
Perform basic exploratory analysis to identify trends, patterns, and data anomalies.
Demonstrate data curiosity by asking questions and seeking to understand performance drivers.
Support data validation, documentation, and quality assurance processes.
Translate basic business questions into structured reports and visualizations.
Communicate findings clearly and professionally to internal stakeholders.
Learn key casino metrics across gaming, marketing, finance, and guest activity.
Follow established data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field or 1-2 years experience.
Exposure to Tableau or similar BI tools preferred. Demonstrated interest in learning and understanding data beyond surface-level results.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Effective communicator with experience presenting to diverse audience. Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills
Foundational knowledge of SQL, Excel, or comparable analytical tools.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Cache Creek Tribal Gaming License.
