*This position is onsite and in the Finance department.
Summary
The Data Analyst II independently develops analytical reporting and dashboards that support operational and management decision-making across casino operations. This role performs in-depth analysis to explain performance, identify key drivers, and uncover actionable insights. The Data Analyst II partners directly with business stakeholders, applies sound analytical judgment, and continuously improves reporting efficiency and effectiveness through data-driven solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Tableau or similar BI tools.
Perform in-depth analysis to evaluate operational performance and explain trends and variances.
Apply data curiosity to challenge assumptions and uncover meaningful insights.
Partner directly with department leaders to translate business needs into analytical solutions.
Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data used in dashboards and analyses.
Improve reporting processes through automation, standardization, and documentation.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to non-technical audiences.
Provide guidance and informal mentorship to entry-level analysts.
Adhere to data governance, security, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required; advanced coursework or certifications preferred. A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field. Strong proficiency in Tableau or comparable business intelligence tools. Casino, gaming, or hospitality industry experience preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Effective communicator with experience presenting to diverse audience. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate analytical results clearly and confidently.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Skills
Strong understanding of SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Cache Creek Tribal Gaming License.
