Job Details
• MedSurg - Infectious Disease unit (Cost Center 15)
• 18-Beds (All private rooms due to Infectious Diseases)
• Strong knowledge in MedSurg, ID, Isolation precautions required
• Non-titratable IV medications: Heparin & other typical MedSurg, antibiotics

Job Requirements
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Experience in MedSurg, Isolation precautions

Schedule Information
• 12 Hour Shifts: 0700-1930; 1900-0730 with a 1/2 hour lunch break
• Every-other-weekend
• Holidays based on unit needs
• Self-scheduling for permanent staff, travelers scheduled as needed
• Block scheduling allowed if unit needs are met

Unit Specific Information
• Ratios 1:5-6, 1:4 if Covid (Typically staffed with 3-4 RNs/shift)
• No cardiac drips, common titratable & set rate drips like Heparin
• No ventilators, may manage patients on Cpap, Bipap, or High flow as per RT
• Remote Tele from the 3rd floor with monitors at the desk, RN's don't interpret strips
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Royal Blue
• Orientation: 1 Day of EPIC, then 1 day on the floor with a preceptor
• 3rd day of orientation on their own

Additional Details
• Submit unexpired copy of driver's license
• Charge Nurse available 24/7
• 2 CNA's/shift
• Travelers are the 1st to float to any MedSurg units
