SALES OFFICER II - TREASURY MANAGEMENT
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
This role will proactively provide sales support to enable clients to leverage CNB's cash management, foreign exchange and commercial cards solutions, taking responsibility for complex clients' onboarding, activation, and ongoing adoption of digital solutions. This role will partner with TMSO(s) to develop and deliver on business priorities and improve the client experience through execution of sales plans to acquire new clients proactively and recommend appropriate treasury services to existing clients. This role will also provide focused financial advice and solutions to meet the clients' business and financial goals, while partnering with Commercial Financial Services (CFS) team and other colleagues across RBC Financial Group to drive client loyalty and build long-term profitable client relationships.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
- Assist and lead with a growth mindset, focusing on what's possible to maximize client acquisition, growth and an exceptional client experience
- Act as the single point of contact throughout the cash management end-to-end onboarding process, partner with TM internal partners and relationship team and follow up with clients to ensure exceptional client experience
- Assists both internal and external clients with product and implementation questions. Provides or coordinates technical support to clients concerning product usage and functionality. Responds or coordinates the response to customer requests regarding treasury management products/services.
- Acts as an escalation point of contact for both internal and external clients for the coordination of a treasury management service issue.
- Provides phone and onsite sales coverage, under the direction of the Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO), for the assigned territory for treasury management products and services. Activities generally include, but are not limited to, assessing client/prospect needs to recommend solutions designed to reduce client costs and/or client's cash flow operations, and referring client/prospect to appropriate channels (e.g., Sales Officers, Client Services, Implementation, etc.). Assist assigned TMSO as backup for onsite sales calls as schedule permits.
- Attend treasury management sales and product meetings and contribute as appropriate. Supports sales objectives that are consistent with overall division objectives.
- Maintains positive relationships with all units within the bank by providing product/service information and supporting the line unit's business development and client retention efforts.
- May attend regional/banking office meetings to present product/service information or conduct line officer training activities at the request of sales officer as schedule permits.
- Participates on special projects or task forces as requested.
- Maintains an awareness of market conditions and customer buying criteria and provides current information that may be used in the development and/or delivery of treasury management services to the appropriate manager.
- Complies fully with all Bank Operational and Credit policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Know Your Client, Community Reinvestment Act, Fair Lending Practices, Code of Conduct, etc.).
- Partner with TMSOs to educate the client with new or emerging issues that will impact their business by providing the client with unique, valuable insights into the client's industry, business or market
- Partner with TMSO to gather insights through client discovery to identify a broad range of solutions to further anchor clients to RBC and increase share of wallet
- Assist TMSO and the Relationship Managers (RM) to develop a coordinated client contact strategy, ensuring future client needs are identified and met
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED? Required Qualifications*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 4 years of cash management sales experience in a financial services environment required.
- Minimum 2 years experience in managing/supporting medium to large account relationships required
- Graduation from a four-year college or university with concentration in a discipline directly related to the duties of the position.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and principles to effectively market treasury management services.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to gather, arranges, compile, interpret, analyze, summarize and evaluate information and data to identify sales opportunities and formulate conclusions and recommended actions.
- Ability to set priorities, objectives and goals.
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU? Compensation Starting base salary: $87,027 - $138,965 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
