Commonwealth Stadium and Recreation Centre feature world-class amenities, including a professional sports field with an artificial turf, aquatic area, indoor track, fitness centre, fieldhouse, fitness program rooms, basketball, badminton and volleyball courts. As a Labourer II, your ability to work independently and use excellent organizational skills will be critical to the maintenance of these high-quality facilities. What you will do? 

• Set up and take down equipment for facility events, programs and sports activities
• Perform summer season outdoor mowing, playground/picnic site maintenance, minor equipment repairs, comfort station cleaning and supplies
• Assist with artificial turf maintenance
• Perform winter season snow removal using a snow blower, gas-powered walk behind snow sweeper and hand equipment
• Provide customer service support to guests, such as answering questions or assisting with equipment and facility needs
• Assist in-house custodial staff with overall facility cleanliness and sanitation of washrooms, shower rooms and locker rooms
• Maintain cleanliness of all storage areas, mechanical areas, electrical rooms, corridors, bleachers and running track areas
• Perform minor repairs on facility equipment and furniture
• Perform the daily facility opening and closing procedures
• Provide a security presence throughout the facility
• Maintain appropriate facility and equipment maintenance documentation
• Report facility and equipment maintenance needs to the Team Leader or Building Operator
• Perform other related duties as required
