Description
The Police Report Classifier Unit requires two (2) Police Report Classifier to perform complex support duties related to the accurate processing of police reports for the Records Management System.
Responsibilities include:
- Proofreading police reports and preparing applicable coding for entry into information data systems.
- Collecting relevant Statistics Canada crime data to complete the Uniform Crime Report.
- Disseminating reports to outside agencies and other areas within Edmonton Police Service.
- Controlling the release of case file information as per EPS policy and procedure.
- Independently exercising sound judgment in the interpretation of policies and procedures and Uniform Crime Reporting regulations.
- Verifying, amending and Quality Control within the Records Management System.
- Performing other related duties as required.
