The City of Edmonton is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Recruitment Coordinator to join our Recruitment Services team. In this role, you will provide essential operational support to our Recruitment Consultants while taking ownership of your own portfolio. You will act as a central point of contact for hiring managers, ensuring a seamless and respectful hiring experience. From drafting offer letters to coordinating interview logistics, your work will keep our recruitment engine running efficiently. As a key member of a multi-disciplinary human resources team, you will help navigate the complexities of unionized hiring while contributing to a culture that is safe, helpful, and inclusive. What will you do?
- Independently execute the full life cycle recruiting process that involve multiple collective agreements while meeting established timelines
- Serve as a dedicated recruitment partner and subject matter expert, guiding and influencing hiring managers on best practices, process requirements and collective agreement requirements
- Support Recruitment Consultants by drafting offer letters, creating requisitions, shortlisting applicants, and other tasks as required to keep the hiring lifecycle moving forward
- Assist in the creation of interview plans, assessment tools, and selection materials in alignment with collective agreements
- Maintain accurate records to ensure data integrity and policy compliance
- Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary Human Resources team to proactively develop and implement creative approaches for complex problem-solving across your client portfolio
- Liaise with Union Business Agents to reach agreement for selection disputes, related assessment tools, posting waivers, etc.
- A University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Humanities or a related field
- Experience within Human Resources, ideally in a recruiting environment
Assets:
- Experience with high-volume recruitment
- Experience in a unionized environment
- Experience interpreting and applying collective agreement language
