We are looking for Landscape Technicians to join our Development Services team and help us achieve this vision. As a Landscape Technician I, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that development projects comply with the City's landscaping regulations. This is a seasonal position that offers the opportunity to work outdoors and make a real difference in the community.
Landscape Technicians I are responsible for inspecting commercial, industrial, and residential sites to ensure that development, landscaping, and lot grading have been constructed according to approved plans, permits, and the Zoning Bylaw. They also review development, landscaping, and lot grading plans, research property histories, and manage inspection information. In addition, Landscape Technicians I provide customer service to stakeholders, answering questions and providing information about zoning and drainage application procedures.
What will you do?
- Inspect commercial, industrial, and residential sites to ensure compliance with landscaping and lot grading regulations.
- Review development and landscaping plans.
- Research property histories.
- Manage and preserve inspection information.
- Provide customer service to stakeholders

Qualifications:
- Completion of a two (2) year diploma with arboricultural emphasis such as landscaping technology, architectural technology, planning, horticulture or similar fields.
OR
- Journeyman Landscape Horticulturist and two years of experience in landscape construction.
