Clinical Staff Pharmacist - 7 on/7 off Overnight
Methodist Hospital Southlake
Merrillville, Indiana


As a full time, nonexempt, Clinical Staff Pharmacist with CPS Solutions, LLC at Methodist Hospitals, you will evaluate and interpret orders, compound, and dispense medications according to written orders/prescriptions issued by an authorized prescriber.  You will also identify, prevent, assess and resolve medication-related problems to ensure a safe and optimal patient outcome and promote, through criteria-based protocols, clinically rational drug therapy and sound pharmaceutical care.  This position works primarily at the Southlake campus but may provide occasional coverage at the Northlake campus. 

Schedule: This position is scheduled to work 7 on/7 off Wednesday through Tuesday from 10:00pm to 8:00am and as needed for vacation coverage on other shifts. The individual selected for this position must be able to train on days, evenings, and midnights.

Starting Pay:  $62 - $65 per hour, (Depending on related work experience).

Required Qualifications:

  • Pharmacy degree (BS or PharmD) from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD preferred
  • Current Indiana Pharmacist license in good standing
  • Successful completion of a Pharmacy Practice Residency program strongly preferred
  • At least 1 year of recent work experience as a Pharmacist (hospital preferred)
  • Ability to work independently, set priorities, make critical decisions, and respond to client concerns
  • Demonstrated accuracy and timeliness in a work setting
  • Experience using computer applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and pharmacy information systems
  • Effective communications skills; verbal and written

Hospital Requirements: (may be required)

  • (PPD) TB Skin Test - Proof of negative TB skin test within the last 12 months
  • (MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or A Blood Titer proving immunity
  • Varicella - (2) documented doses or A Blood Titer proving
  • Hep B3 Series (or declination) 
  • (Flu) Influenza-required for hire between Oct 1st-April 30th  
  • COVID Vaccine
