Responsibilities
Now Hiring Behavior Health Registered Nurses to join our Riverview Team. The Geriatric Psychology Behavior Health Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, seclusion and restraint of patients. RNs record patients medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. RNs teach patients and their families how to manage their illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy. Other related duties.

Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Current and valid state RN License2. Current BLS upon hire and maintain current.3. Previous supervisory experience, preferred.4. Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws, Practice Standards, interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavior health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral units.5. Continuum of care for behavioral health care, preferred.6. Receive/ maintain LPS Certification as deemed necessary.7. Must obtain approved training on LPS statuses and patient rights and successfully pass LPS Certification exam.8. Must have approved LPS certification prior to writing 5150 holds in designated Prime facilities.9. LPS Professionals: Must have experience in an inpatient mental health facility per County requirements.10. Patients Rights Education/ Competency required 30 days upon hire and maintain current.11. Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, preferred.
