Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) Residency - October 2024?
Come and join our LVN Residency Program! We invite graduate LVN's to apply for this unique opportunity. The next cohort will begin on October 7, 2024.
Integrated into a Hospital's education structure, the Texas Health LVN Residency Program includes a guided clinical experience with an instructor-led core curriculum, a formal mentoring program, informative debriefing/self-care sessions and supportive 360-degree evaluations. Residents not only participate in the learning experience on their personally selected home units, they also rotate/cross train through other departments to gain an expanded nursing experience vital to the complex patient care.
The Texas Health LVN Program is a comprehensive, evidence based on-boarding program with a 15-month employment commitment that offers new LVN's an exciting opportunity to gain the experience, judgment, skills and confidence to successfully navigate the complexity of hospital life.

Work hours: Full-time (36 Hour) Rotating Shift with rotating weekends, holidays, and on call shifts required?
Shift to be determined after completion of the residency? Texas Health Texas Health Hurst-Euless-Bedford- Texas Health HEB is a 252-bed, acute-care, full-service hospital serving our community since 1973. Our location in the DFW mid cities area provides convenient care to the residents of Hurst, Euless, Bedford and the surrounding communities. We specialize in women's services, perioperative services, heart and vascular care, acute care/med surg, intermediate care/step-down, oncology and emergency medicine. Additional specialties include nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, respiratory therapy, and neuroscience care, including neurosurgery and stroke. Texas Health HEB is ANCC Magnet Designated, Joint Commission-certified in Chest Pain (PHAC), a Primary Stroke Center, a Level III Trauma Center, Level II NICU and Level III for maternal care. We're a top choice in North Texas for emergency services, surgical services, women's health, cardiac care and much more.

* Exemplar/Essay: In one-to-two pages, tell a story of a clinical situation that was especially meaningful to you as a student and that has helped shape your practice today
Things you need for the position:
* Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program required
* Acceptance into THR residency program required
* Graduated within the last 12 months preferred
* Less than one-year experience at the time the residency begins preferred
* Have not previously completed a THR nursing residency preferred
* LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse upon hire required
* BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
* CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required
