General Summary:

The Communications Sr Specialist serves as a communications partner responsible for developing compelling, data-driven communications that support business priorities and drive employee engagement. This role supports content strategy and execution across our internal channels, leveraging analytics and audience insights to inform decisions and improve performance. The Sr Specialist also partners on platform management, vendor relationships and change communication efforts while proactively identifying risks, opportunities and innovative approaches to strengthen internal communications.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop clear, engaging, audience-focused content by partnering with stakeholders to gather input, refine messaging, and deliver accurate, high-quality communications while effectively managing multiple priorities and revisions.
  • Analyze engagement data, platform metrics, and audience insights to evaluate content performance, translate findings into clear and actionable recommendations, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance content, campaigns, storytelling, and overall platform effectiveness through innovative approaches and formats.
  • Partner in the day-to-day management of DGme, overseeing content planning, publishing strategy, audience targeting, platform governance, organizational alignment, and vendor partnerships while ensuring compliance with communication standards, resolving platform issues, and optimizing performance.
  • Independently coordinate communication initiatives and daily responsibilities by maintaining editorial calendars and communication roadmaps, prioritizing deliverables, anticipating risks, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring proactive stakeholder communication and alignment.
Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Excellent writing, editing, grammar, and proofreading skills, with the ability to create clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences
  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex business information into compelling messages and ask thoughtful, probing questions to gather input
  • Knowledge of content governance, audience segmentation, employee engagement strategies, and digital communication best practices
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to improve communication effectiveness
  • Experience using communication performance metrics and tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting platforms
  • Experience supporting enterprise communication platforms and digital communication tools
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively across teams
  • Proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and support evolving business needs with minimal oversight

Work Experience &/or Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Corporate Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, English and Writing, Design Communications, Information Design, Graphic Design or related field is required.
  • 3-5 years progressively more responsible work experience.
