Hybrid Role: Must be able to come on-site periodically and reside a commutable distance from the assigned work location.

Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE's emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.

Job Summary

Responsible for the strategy and management of external web site initiatives and applications. Understands and utilizes best practice user experience principles to drive customer satisfaction. Conducts discovery discussions with business partners to interpret digital needs, including KPIs, and works closely with project managers (Experience Design team and MEP) to ensure incoming digital marketing/communication projects are delivered effectively and efficiently. Understands design standards and applies knowledge of digital style guides to ensure brand consistency.

Key Accountabilities
  • Drives strategic thinking to help define and achieve project originator objectives on the external web site and applications, including integration with all other channels.
  • Works closely with others to build database of user knowledge, measures performance, and applies learnings to enhance strategic approach.
  • Maintains working knowledge of all organization business unit and marketing priorities.
  • Champions the consumer experience to build understanding of needs, missions, and journeys, through to user experience. Works with all necessary organizational resources to define journey mapping as needed, including integration with social channels.
  • Develops and utilizes cross-functional relationships across the enterprise to achieve efficient and integrated execution of all digital projects.
  • Prioritizes projects and manages queue of work against enterprise and corporate communications objectives, establishes and manages systems for workflow/resource management.
  • Works closely with design, multi-media partners and writers to drive development of digital content.
  • Leads ongoing website administration, leads calendar content updates, and ensures adherence to legal and brand standards.
  • Assists with email and text marketing campaign administration.
  • Leads application of continuous improvement principles and leads regular team huddles.
  • Leads daily team stand-ups and weekly status sessions and reports.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of digital marketing and development experience, leading both creative and technical projects
Other Qualifications

Preferred

  • Understands the role of a web content management system with working knowledge of AEM (Adobe Experience Manager)
  • Familiarity with web metrics and search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Sound business judgment, including ability to quickly grasp complex issues and understand their effects and interconnections.
  • Committed to keeping up to date on related marketing best practices and technology as they evolve.
  • Bachelor's degree in digital communications/multimedia, digital marketing, or a related discipline.

 

Other Requirements

  • Excellent project management, time management and multitasking skills, including ability to accurately gauge project duration, manage expectations, deliver on deadlines, and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Sound business judgment, including ability to quickly grasp complex issues and understand their effects and interconnections.
  • Familiarity with web metrics and search engine optimization (SEO); experience with email marketing tools.
  • Experience with Web content management systems.
  • Strong working knowledge of marketing through social channels.
  • Understanding of the technical aspects and language of online content delivery and demonstrates an enthusiasm and commitment to keeping uptodate on related marketing best practices and technology as they evolve
