Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $25.00
Duties & Responsibilities
- Recommend available resources that are well-aligned to where the customers across respective center may need additional support.
- Screen and refer applicable PA CareerLink staff to job openings available through PA CareerLink Job Developers and System Wide Services, Business Services Representatives, and Business Services Liaisons, if open opportunities are well aligned to the customers' interests.
- Meet regularly with Job Developers, Business Services Representatives, and customer-facing staff to identify and align available opportunities with the experiences and interests of center participants.
- Partner with Job Developers and Business Services staff to organize and promote hiring opportunities within the center and across the system, where appropriate.
- Share hiring event and job fair information with PA CareerLink staff and across virtual platforms (e.g., PHL Career Portal, email/text alerts) to ensure broad customer access.
- Submit customer resumes to SWS for additional job matching services as needed.
- Inform Manager of Business and Community Services of employers with job openings for follow-up by a Job Developer
- Support the execution of a center-wide process to identify shared customer interests, urgency levels, and relevant experiences, with the goal of improving employment placement outcomes.
- Use insights to produce a report that equips Job Developers with actionable information to better align job opportunities with customer needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, or related field and 1-year relevant experience or Associate Degree and 3 years equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working with the targeted population required. 3+ years relevant work experience preferred.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, and Visio). Willing to learn Center specific database(s). Knowledge of job search web sites and engines. Ability to build relationships with employers, partners, and job seekers. Knowledge/Understanding of workforce development programs, regulations, and local economic needs. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
- Must successfully pass a background screening process, including, but not limited to, state, local, and funder criminal background check requirements. Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
- Must have appropriate and valid state driver's license and be able to meet requirements for Eckerd's Auto Insurance and be able to drive for business purposes.

Eckerd Connects provides Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services through contracts with the U.S. Department of Labor and local workforce boards, partnerships, and strategies to provide and create a career pathway for youth, adults, and dislocated workers. Training services include occupational skills training, customized training, on-the-job training, incumbent worker training, and transitional employment opportunities. We provide youth with development, academic instruction, career & technical education, and access to the 14 WIOA Youth Elements. We establish and develop relationships and networks with large and small employers and their intermediaries as well as develop, convene, or implement industry or sector partnerships.
