Job Summary:
The Manager of End User Computing will provide leadership and direction for teams focused on improving user experience and operational efficiency within IT. This role will manage the Desktop and Outreach teams, ensuring the delivery of hardware and software support across various locations. The Manager of End User Computing will be essential in ensuring that all end users have access to the tools and resources needed for success. This position requires a manager with strong service delivery skills, a commitment to team development, and a focus on operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise the Desktop and Outreach teams to ensure high-quality technical support and effective resolution of user issues.
• Work with department leadership to align team objectives with the organization's strategic goals and enhance IT service delivery.
• Help plan and manage resources effectively, ensuring the efficient use of personnel, technology, and budget for smooth IT operations.
• Support the launch and ongoing management of new sites, ensuring that technical support is available and integrated smoothly.
• Promote the growth of desktop support analysts, IT engineers, and team leads by providing guidance and opportunities for professional development.
• Ensure the operational integrity and reliability of hardware infrastructure across both on-site and off-site location

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Maintain relationships with key business partners, senior leaders, and external contacts to apply best practices and evaluate new technologies.
•  Ensure that IT hardware infrastructure and services are effectively delivered by the desktop and outreach teams, aligning with operational and organizational goals.
•  Manage OS rollout plans, deployment strategies, and ongoing system maintenance.
•  Oversee desktop patch deployment to ensure endpoint devices remain secure and up to date.
•  Support the deployment of IT standards for the new Englewood Health Physician Network (EHPN) and Hospital Out-Patient Department (HOPD) locations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and security guidelines.
•  Manage the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of IT equipment.
•  Collaborate with the Unified Communications team in the selection, deployment, and support of all A/V equipment.
•  Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement effective technical solutions that align with the organization's needs.
•  Ensure compliance with policies and procedures for front-end hardware and IT infrastructure.
•  Maintain 24/7 endpoint device operations in partnership with other IT teams and service providers.
•  Participate in cybersecurity efforts, ensuring the deployment of necessary protection technologies and policies.
•  Help build and maintain a high-performing team, attracting, hiring, and retaining talent.
•  Ensure that teams meet or exceed established service level agreements and key performance indicators.
•  Foster collaboration and teamwork across multidisciplinary groups, ensuring alignment on technical actions.
•  Monitor team performance and adjust to improve service quality and staff satisfaction.
•  Demonstrate Service Excellence in all interactions, promoting the same standards within the team.
•  Support critical issue resolution and escalate as needed to ensure timely project delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Provide On-Call support for troubleshooting and production issues, escalating as necessary.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the IT Infrastructure Director.
• In emergencies, performing duties are necessary for the well-being of patients and the efficient operation of the institution.

Job Essentials: The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements and competencies.

  • 7+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in desktop support or related fields.
  • Experience in healthcare, IT and operations is preferred.
  • 3+ years of managerial or team leadership experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving end-user needs.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for clear communication with leadership and team members.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and systems.
  • High proficiency with Windows OS, Mac OS, and MS Office.
  • Experience with Endpoint Management solutions.
  • Familiarity with both full and thin client workstations.


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law.  The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources. Minimum rate: $55.00
