Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) – Inpatient Neurology

Englewood Health is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider – Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our inpatient Neurology team. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced hospital environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional neurological care.
About the Opportunity
- Treat adult patient population for Bergen Neurology.
- Support for Neurologist provider coming with increased stroke work.
- Schedule: Three (3) days per week – Wed/Thurs/Fri with schedule flexibility as needed.

What your day will look like
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care to neurology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow‑up.
- Manage acute neurological conditions such as stroke, seizures, neuromuscular disorders, and neurodegenerative diseases.
- Perform detailed neurological examinations and interpret diagnostic studies including CT, MRI, EEG, and laboratory results.
- Collaborate closely with neurologists, hospitalists, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, and ancillary services to ensure coordinated, high‑quality care.
- Participate in patient education, care coordination, and discharge planning.
- Document clinical encounters in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement and clinical excellence initiatives within the neurology service line.
Qualifications
All Candidates
- Minimum 1–2 years of inpatient or neurology experience preferred; highly motivated new graduates with strong neurology interest will be considered
- DEA and NJ CDS registration
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
Advanced Practice Nurse
- Current NJ Professional Nurse License
- Current NJ Nurse Practitioner License
Physician Assistant
- Current NJ Physician Assistant License
- Current NCCPA Certification

Englewood Health provides a minimum rate to comply with New Jersey Law. The rate of pay for each position will be determined based on a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, skills, etc. The minimum rate does not include bonuses/incentives, differential pay or other forms of compensation. In addition to the minimum rate, eligible employees may receive comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other wellness resources.
Minimum compensation: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
