The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

The Compressor Station Operator is a multi-skilled position responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of gathering system compressor stations, including natural gas compression and gas treating facilities (amine, glycol, and hot oil systems).

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Daily monitoring and documentation of equipment performance and operating conditions.

     

  • Performing preventive maintenance (PMs), housekeeping, and minor repairs.

  • Maximizing system throughput while maintaining safe and reliable operations.

  • Operating and maintaining compressors, separators, dehydration (glycol) systems, amine treating systems, generators, flares, hot oil and cooling systems.

     

     

  • Coordinating with craft personnel to resolve equipment and system issues safely and in a timely manner.

     

  •  Operating compressor stations using reciprocating and centrifugal compressors driven by electric motors, gas turbines, or engines.

  • Troubleshooting abnormal operating conditions across compression and treating systems.

  • Coordinating and monitoring contractor activities in assigned areas.

  •  Identifying emergency situations and initiating appropriate emergency response procedures.

  •  Completing and maintaining operational reports, logs, and compliance documentation.

  •  Monitoring and adjusting equipment to maintain optimal efficiency, reliability, and product quality.

Working Conditions
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors around industrial and electrical equipment.

  •  Exposure to temperature extremes and varying weather conditions.

  •  Climbing, working at heights, and entering confined spaces.

  •   Physical tasks include lifting tup to 50 lbs. and carrying up to 75 lbs.

  •  Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and movement between elevations.

  •  Responding to alarms and operational signals.

  •  Operating vehicles over rough roads.

  •  Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection when required.

  •  Interaction with landowners, contractors, and other personnel.



Requirements

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications: 
  •  High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

     

  • Technical certification or training in a mechanical, electrical, or energy-related field preferred.

  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

  •            Minimum of 3 years of stable work history, preferably in the energy industry.

  • Strong commitment to personal and workplace safety.

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

  • Proficient with tools and basic computer applications including MS Office.

  • Strong communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in potentially hazardous environments.

  • Willingness to work overtime, respond to callouts, and reside within one hour of assigned location.
