Enterprise Products Partners L.P. is one of the largest publicly traded partnerships and a leading North American provider of midstream energy services to producers and consumers of natural gas, NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals. Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation, and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage, and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage, and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products, and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.

 

The Human Resources Representative provides comprehensive support primarily in the areas of employment, employee relations and other related human resource activities.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Employee Relations

  • Providing guidance and support to client group to address employee relations issues, coaching managers in resolving performance issues and keeping management apprised of issues and trends.
  • Handling incident investigations and counseling employees and managers on employee relations issues, employment law compliance and other employment issues.
  • Providing guidance and recommendations in disciplinary/corrective action and performance improvement plans.
  • Maintaining appropriate records and reports in compliance with external regulations.
  • Briefing Senior Leadership on recommendation to terminate, preparing termination documents, and conducting exit interviews.

Human Resources

  • Providing manager guidance and assistance in administering company policies, procedures and best practices. 
  • Interpreting company policy and providing consultative support and counsel to all employees to ensure clear communication and understanding. 
  • Collaborating with compensation group to offer compensation recommendation and work with hiring manager to ensure effective delivery of merit increases and/or compensation adjustments due to promotions, lateral moves, or re-organizational changes.
  • Participating in interviews for office and management positions.
  • Partnering with client group to provide guidance and assistance with addition to headcount or replacement requisition requests.
  • Preparing and processing employment records to include all records that affect any employee change.
  • Staying informed of federal and state developments in the area of immigration and employment laws and general employee practices.
  • Administering the unemployment claim process.
  • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with assigned client group and the HR staff.
  • Providing assistance with special projects as assigned or other duties as assigned or required.
  • Partnering with client group to provide guidance and assistance with employee transfers, promotions, terminations, or other employee changes not related to an open requisition.
  • Coordinating with benefits group to administer requests for employee leave of absence.


Requirements

 

The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • College degree and PHR / SCP certification preferred.
  • A minimum of three years experience in human resources/employee relations with a strong focus on employee relations and recruiting preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge handling employee relations issues and complaints and coaching managers to a successful resolution.
  • The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, at various levels of the organization, in a business-like and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision, adapt to frequent changes in daily work activities, process work rapidly, set priorities, work under pressure and follow through with assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet established deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations on a consistent basis.
  • Strong computer skills with specific experience in Microsoft Office Suite.  Oracle experience preferred.
  • Ability to work required hours to complete projects and travel domestically up to 25%.
  • Work environment includes office setting and travel to truck terminals.
